UNEMPLOYED

It's exactly three months since I graduated from college and I'm still waiting for calls from the companies I passed my resume. I was interviewed by five companies and still, I got no calls from them. Maybe there was something wrong. Were my interviews not impressive enough? ...or is there a discrimination to the school I graduated from?

I admit that I graduated from a university with no entrance exams, low tuition fees and probably produces less competent students than the top universities of the Philippines. It was the only school our family can afford and those "top universities" are really expensive for us.

To overcome my depression and desperation, I watch DVDs until my eyes sore. Most of the time I hang out with my friends to avoid my mother. My mother is so irritated that she often scold me because I'm still unemployed. She was thinking that I don't have any plans to look for a job.

I'm just anticipating an offer from a government office this September, but I'm obliged to take the Civil Service Exam first before they hire me.

Right now, aside from watching DVD and having phone conversations with friends, I'm reviewing old notes and books to get ready for the Civil Service Exam. I'm really nervous If I can pass the test but it is my only hope for now to get that job which was offered to me.
